Account deletion

You can delete your Connect Chat account yourself at any time. Deletion is permanent.

How to delete your account in the app

1. Sign in to the Connect Chat app or the website connectchat.eu.
2. Open "Profile".
3. Scroll down and expand the "⚠️ Delete account" section.
4. Press "Delete my account" and confirm with your password. Your account and data are removed immediately.

What gets deleted

• Account details: username, email, password hash, birth year, country, gender
• Profile content: photos, bio, interests, voice intro, stories
• Chat messages, voice messages and photos you sent
• Follows, blocks, coins, and reports you filed
• Push notification tokens

What may be kept briefly

If you reported someone, or were reported, moderation records may be retained for up to 90 days so the review can be completed and abuse prevented. These records no longer contain your profile data.

Cannot access your account?

If you can no longer sign in, email us from the address you registered with and include your username. We will delete the account within 30 days.
